Girona there are 70,576 inhabitants. It is 5,886 km². Another name for Girona
is "the city of four rivers" because there are the Onyar, Galligans, Güell
and Ter rivers. A part of Girona is surrounded by a group of mountains whose

In Girona there is the old quarter. This is the most visited tourist area in Girona. Sant Narcís is the patron saint of Girona. Girona has got a legend about it and the flies. The legend tellls us:
When the French tried to invade Girona, the flies came out of Sant Narcís’ coffin and they chased them away. Because of that, Sant Narcís saved Girona and he became the patron saint of the city.
