A sect is a closed community that it conditions its followers. It destroys them psychologically and it clears freedom to them. The sect offers to its followers new experiences and it arise from the insecurity.

The leaders are very capable and try to catch emotionally weak people or with little formation.

The sects aren't a phenomenon of nowadays, if not that always have had. Formerly, the church denominated heresies, but in truth they were sects.
